Bruce Banner is in the custody of Thunderbolt Ross and Glenn Talbot when he suddenly and inexplicably becomes the Hulk. At the same time, a massive interplanetary threat has arrived, and stands ready to destroy Earth. The Hulk tries to attack it alone, but he only succeeds in angering the aliens who came to defeat it.
